The agreement

Using Classroom means accepting this page. It is between the person or organisation that owns a workspace (“you”) and Baja Labs, which operates the service.

Accounts

Classroom is invite-only unless the operator has opened sign-ups. You are responsible for what happens under your account: keep the password to yourself, and turn on two-factor sign-in if the account can reach anything you would mind losing. Accounts are for people, not for teams — share a workspace, not a login.

Workspaces and roles

A workspace is the unit of ownership and of billing. Its admins decide who joins, what role they hold (admin, member or guest), and what is shared outside it. Guests and people holding a per-object share see only what has explicitly been shared with them.

An admin can export, delete and purge a workspace, including content other members contributed. If that matters to you, keep your own copy.

Your content

Your content stays yours. You grant the operator only the permission needed to run the service: to store it, back it up, transmit it, and — where a workspace has turned an AI feature on — pass the relevant part of it to the model vendor configured for that workspace.

Acceptable use

Do not use Classroom to break the law, to host malware, to send unsolicited bulk email through its forms or notifications, to attack the service or the people on it, or to store content you have no right to store. The operator may suspend an account or a workspace that does.

Automated access goes through the documented API with your own key and respects the published rate limits. Limits are shields, not suggestions.

Availability

Classroom is offered as it is, with no uptime guarantee. It runs on rented hardware and third-party platforms and it will occasionally be down. Current component health is on your account page. Planned maintenance is announced to workspace admins where it will be noticeable.

Fees

Where a workspace is on a paid plan, the plan and its limits are shown inside the workspace before purchase. Paid plans are billed through Stripe; the operator never sees or stores a card number. Cancelling stops future charges — it does not refund the current period unless the operator agrees otherwise in writing.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time, and an admin can delete a workspace at any time. The operator may close an account or workspace for a serious or repeated breach of the acceptable-use terms, or when fees go unpaid, and will give notice where it reasonably can.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and total liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected workspace in the twelve months before the claim. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Changes

These terms will change as the service does. Material changes are announced to workspace admins, and the date at the top of this page moves. Continuing to use Classroom after a change accepts it.
